Danmaku, comments that fly across the video
Danmaku are short comments that drift across the video at the moment they were written, so you can react to a scene together with other viewers.
Steps
- Watch them go by. Once you are signed in, comments drift right to left across the top of the picture. The subtitles below stay clear.
- Write one. Open the side panel with the Donghua Mate cloud and type in the comment box at the bottom.
- Send it. Your comment is pinned to this moment of the episode and flies across straight away, with a gold underline so you can spot it.
- Turn them off. Switch off Danmaku in the side panel's Settings tab when you want a clean picture.
Good to know
- A comment is one line of up to 40 characters.
- Sending needs an activated account. Comments cannot be sent while an ad is playing.
